The West Main Street McDonald’s location in Rapid City was first opened in 1959 – the very first McDonald’s to open in the state of South Dakota. This location was torn down and rebuilt in 2005.

Exceptional customer service and great staff. I went here numerous times while doing work at Camp Rapid and I was really impressed with the workers and the quality of food. They were exceptional about paying attention to detail and putting out quality food. Well maintained store as well.

This location has the best customer service by far. We had placed a large order, for 8 people. They got the order out fast but two of our sandwiches were wrong, we called expecting only the one sandwich that wasn’t ate to be replaced but they went above and beyond replacing the entire order, and the manager Raymond did so with no complaints, just friendly above average customer service. Way to go west main McDonald’s you’ve got a great team here!!

They were crazy busy this morning, but the people bringing out the curbside orders were friendly and calm. The parking lot may be crazy, but the staff keeps their cool!
